About East Anglia Fire Doors
Specialist fire door installation and remedial works, developed from real inspection experience.
East Anglia Fire Doors was established to provide a specialist installation and remedial service focused specifically on fire doors.
The business developed alongside East Anglia FireScope, our established fire door inspection and passive fire protection surveying company.
Through inspection work, we repeatedly encountered the same problem: organisations could identify defects, but finding appropriate, competent remedial solutions was often considerably more difficult.
EAFD was created to address that need.
Two Businesses. Two Clearly Defined Roles.

Inspection & Surveying
East Anglia FireScope
EAFS provides independent fire door inspections and passive fire protection surveys, helping clients understand the condition of their existing fire safety measures and identify defects requiring attention.

EAFD provides the practical next stage: fire door remedial works, replacement and installation.
Maintaining two clearly defined businesses helps preserve the distinction between identifying defects and carrying out the works required to address them.
EAFD is also available to clients whose inspections have been undertaken by other competent providers.

Built on Inspection Experience
Our approach to remedial works is informed by practical experience inspecting fire doors across existing buildings.
That experience provides an understanding not only of how fire doors should be installed, but also of the defects that repeatedly develop through poor installation, unsuitable alterations, inappropriate repairs, damage and normal use.
It is one of the reasons we place such importance on doing the work properly and documenting what has been done.
Our Approach
Repair Where Appropriate
Replacement is not automatically the answer. If an existing door set can be appropriately remediated, we will consider that option.
Evidence Matters
Fire door work should not be based on assumptions. Product evidence, installation requirements and the existing construction all matter when determining an appropriate solution.
Attention to Detail
Small details can have a significant impact on the performance of a fire door set. Our work is approached accordingly.
Clear Communication
Where something cannot be confirmed, or additional information is required, we would rather identify it than make an unsupported assumption.
Qualifications & Professional Development
Our work is supported by specialist training and qualifications in fire door inspection and passive fire protection, together with ongoing manufacturer and industry training relevant to fire door maintenance, remediation and installation.
East Anglia FireScope is also a member of the Fire Protection Association (FPA).
East Anglia Based
We primarily support clients throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and the wider East Anglia region.
